Earlier this year I shared my favorite “Disney Family Photo Hack” for taking photos with a tiny tripod (that I put on our stroller) and remote control.
And I used that hack to take all of these photos except the group one of Roger, little Roger, and I, which my sweet sister took of us.
This was our last trip to Disney World before our son turns three next month, which means it was his last free trip!
However, because of how tall he is, we got questioned on his age as we were going into Magic Kingdom (understandably so, people often think he is 6 months to 1 year older than his actual age because of his height) so I offered to show his birth pictures as proof of age. 😂
Thankfully it wasn’t a big deal and we were able to enjoy his birthday trip to Magic Kingdom.
And along with these 4 Less Crowded Castle Photo Spots at Magic Kingdom, I have some tips on the best times to take them too!

The 4 Locations:
The first spot I stopped at was right inside Tomorrowland, it’s more of a distant shot of Magic Kingdom, but if you angle it just right and weight a few minutes for the right timing, you can get a photo without anyone in the background
The second spot is on the path that leads to both Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
The third location is the right path up to the castle.
And the final spot is at the beginning of Liberty Square, right next to the Sleepy Hollow quick-service restaurant.
The Best Times:
The beginning of the day is pretty busy as lots of people are rushing into the park to get to rides, so we typically skip taking pictures first thing in the morning and wait until later in the day.
Although this does mean we look a little more frazzled, at least I do.
Lunchtime and nap time are often when the crowds are a little lower around the parks, making it a good time to take some photos.
I took the photos of little Roger and me (that are closer to the castle) right before the 2:00 parade.
We got there around 1:50 and decided to take some pictures before the parade started, but then the parade kept getting delayed because of the coming rain.
So we just kept wandering around to our favorite spots taking pictures, as we waited for the parade to start.
This was a great time to take pictures as so many people stood on the sidewalk along the parade route.
