Our entryway was the first space I decorated for Christmas.
I didn’t plan to decorate it first; it just kind of happened.
We had pulled out all of our Christmas decor, and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed decorating our new home for the first time for Christmas.
I mean, technically, I did decorate last year, but it was pretty rushed and thrown together since we moved in mid-November.
Which I know isn’t late for decorating for a lot of people, but that’s just moving in; we had to unpack and find all our Christmas decor before we could start to decorate.
Plus, since we moved into our home unfinished, we didn’t have any of the built-ins, and this entryway just had a bench sitting in it, so it was pretty sparse.
So decorating our entryway first was the perfect way to start because it was a smaller space and gave me the confidence to move to other rooms.
I went pretty simplistic with traditional colors of green, gold, and hints of red.
And I love how it all came together!

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
1 John 2:15-16 NIV
