Frosted Easter Brownies

Sharing is caring!

These Frosted Easter Brownies are a super easy way to decorate brownies for a spring party or an Easter party.

These Frosted Easter Brownies are one of the easiest spring dessert recipes to whip up, right behind the viral Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls.

I couldn’t decide between making bunny brownies or carrot-shaped brownies, so I decided to make both!

And because I made a double batch these brownies turned out extra thick and perfect for sharing!

Instructions

  1. First, preheat the oven according to your brownie box instructions and spray a 9 inch spring form pan with spray oil.
  2. Mix both*(1) of your brownie mixes and pour them into the spring form pan.
  3. Bake according to the packaging instructions, or until a toothpick comes out clean. *(2)
  4. While the brownies are baking, melt the candy melts according to their packaging instructions, along with some coconut oil.*(3)
  5. Place each color in a sandwich bag, and cut off the tip.
  6. On a piece of wax paper, use the white candy melts to create the shape of bunny ears, let harden, then add the pink candy melts to the center. I used a toothpick to smooth out the pink center. Let harden and spray with edible silver glitter spray.
  7. Then create carrot leaves with the green candy melts. Let harden.
  8. Once the brownie has baked and cooled, remove it from the spring form pan, place it on a cutting board, and cut the brownie into 8 triangles.
  9. In a small bowl, mix white frosting with orange food coloring.
  10. Place the orange frosting and white frosting in individual icing bags with your favorite frosting tips. *(5)
  11. Decorate your Bunny Brownies with white frosting dollops and the candy bunny ears and the Carrot Brownies with orange frosting and candy leaves.
  12. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  1. You can do just one box/batch, I just wanted them to be extra thick brownies, so I used 2 boxes. You may also want to put a baking sheet on the rack below the brownies to catch any excess oil.
  2. I found it took longer to bake since it was a double batch of brownies, but if you only do 1 box/batch it should bake according to the packaging instructions.
  3. The coconut oil helps thin out the candy melts so that it is easier to work with. Just add a tiny bit at a time until you get a smooth consistency.
  4. The amount will depend on how thick you want the frosting to be on the brownies and the shade of orange you like best.
  5. I used the 1M frosting tip for the carrots and the 2D for the bunnies.
