I have so much fun making these DIY napkin candles.
They are so easy to create and I love that I can customize them for every season, holiday, and occasion.
I like to use my flameless candle hack when creating these, so that I can safely use and enjoy them year after year.
I only light them to create the candle wax memory so that a tealight flameless candle will fit inside (you can also scoop the wax out with a spoon).
While I have heard that you can use this same napkin technique on flameless candles, it needs to be a real wax flameless candle.
I personally love this method using a real candle and an iron (vs a hair dryer as I feel like the blowdryer can spread/blow wax where it’s not wanted and an iron has more heat control) and it’s easy to remove the flameless tealight candle when storing the past season’s candles and then move the flameless tea light candles to the next set of napkin candles.
Do you like to make these napkin candles for each season and holiday?

Materials (click to shop):
Candle (I use this flameless candle hack) – I used this short candle & this taller candle
Instructions:
1. First, cut the napkin to the size of the candle (height and circumference) and remove the inner layer of the napkin.
2. Place the outer napkin with the print facing out around the candle.
3. Wrap a piece of wax paper around the candle.
4. Carefully/quickly iron the candle so that the heat melts the wax just enough to be absorbed into the napkin. (I’m sorry, I’m not sure what temperature it was set at. I bought it just for crafting, pulled it out of the box, and used it without looking. I just looked at it and it set between 3 & 4)
5. Continue this process around the entire candle. Then slowly remove the wax paper from the candle.
6. Use the iron to touch up any areas as needed.
7. Follow my flameless candle hack so you can use a flameless candle within your real candle.
8. Enjoy your new DIY Flower Napkin Candles year after year with the flameless candle hack.
