Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Here are 5 quick & easy tips on how to create a cozy Valentine’s brunch for two.

This year Valentine’s Day is on a weekday.
But that shouldn’t keep you from enjoying some special time with your special someone.
So whether you celebrate that day, the weekend before, or the weekend after I thought it would be fun to share with you some tips to help you create a cozy valentine’s brunch for you & your special someone.
And you should brace yourself, there will be a lot of pink ahead!
But don’t worry, I’ll try to keep all the mushy love stuff between just Roger & I!

1. Pick a Color Scheme
The most obvious is pink & red, but you don’t have to go that route. I chose pink, white, & gold to be our color scheme this year.
Some other options you could go with are… Wine, navy, & gold. Red, white, & black. Pink, gold, & silver. Really it’s all about personal preference, you could even go with neon colors, primary colors, or pastels!

2. Add Flowers
As I’m sure you have noticed, fresh flowers are always a go-to item for me. They add a fun lively element that adds a fragrant element to your home.
Want something that will last a little longer? You can always swap fresh flowers for beautiful faux flowers.
I’ve been amazed by all of the new varieties of faux flowers that have been coming out over the last couple of years. They look almost real!!

3. Create Cozy
Fancy for dinner is fun but cozy for brunch is where it’s at! If your goal is to create a simple lazy brunch for you & your special loved one you are in luck. It’s crazy easy.
Fluffy pillows, extra soft blankets, & lots of candles can create a cozy atmosphere for your morning brunch.
You can set up the night before so that your morning is spent lazily enjoy time together.

4. Create Your Own Decor
Whether you are on a budget or love to craft, creating your own decor is a fun way to decorate your brunch space for Valentine’s.

5. Don’t Forget the Food!
Of course, the most important aspect of any valentines brunch is the food.
You have a lot of options… Store-bought, homemade, or a mixture of both!
If you are a couple that loves to be in the kitchen together then you should totally spend the morning cooking & baking together. I highly recommend these Dark Chocolate Cherry Scones. My husband doesn’t really like cherries & these are his favorite scones EVER!! Prefer strawberries? This Strawberry Banana Bread is my favorite!
