In celebration of my sister getting married yesterday, I had the honor of hosting a bachelorette dessert party for her last week.
As neither of us are into the party scene, and her bridesmaids were coming in from all over the country, having an evening to talk and laugh was a wonderful way to start the wedding festivities.
I had a whole lot of help from my parents setting up the lighting, curtains, and tables on their beautiful front porch.
And it was so fun to see the look on my sister’s face when she arrived that night!

Originally I had planned to attempt to use shower curtain rods for the curtains.
But my mom has dreamed of curtains on her front porch for years, so she seized the opportunity to turn this into a permanent feature on their front porch using wood rods from a home improvement store.
And for the temporary addition of globe lights, they used Command Hooks to attach them to the walls.
I had so much fun creating this little dessert party for my sister, and I am beyond excited for her new adventure as a newly married bride!
