For nearly the first 7 years of our marriage, I didn’t have a nightstand next to our bed.
So before we even moved into this house we ordered a new headboard and nightstands.
I can’t begin to express how excited I was to have a nightstand!
Something so simple felt like a big luxury to me!
But for about a year and a half, we didn’t add much to our bedroom in the way of decor.
So last year, near the end of October, I decided to start finishing our bedroom.
And today I thought I’d share with you 5 accessories for your bedroom that you will love!
1. A Rug
Adding a rug to our bedroom elevated the look and coziness of our room so much!
This one is our absolute favorite. We love it so much, my husband keeps hinting at getting a second one for our living room!
Picture frames featuring favorite memories are a great way to personalize your bedroom.
We have this set and I’m loving the way they look in our room.
Decorating tip: Choose a theme for your photos so that they look cohesive together.
For example, I chose to frame photos from trips to places with dramatic views, such as in Switzerland and Ireland. It also helps to choose photos with similar color schemes. Alternatively, you can make the photos black and white to ensure cohesion.
3. Nightstands
Night stands are a great way to add beauty and functionality to a bedroom.
We love this one and they go great with our color scheme!
4. A Bench
We own a couple of benches and this one is definitely my favorite!
I love the wooden legs and the the tufted cushion pairs wonderfully with our tufted headboard.
Throw pillows are a super-easy way to add comfort to your bedroom.
Plus they are so easy to swap for the different seasons and holidays!
This one is our newest addition and I absolutely love it, especially the tassels!
