This DIY No-Sew Window Seat Cushion is a super easy tutorial for those who can’t sew while using a curtain as the fabric to cover the bench cushion.
Making a cushion for this window seat has been on my to-do list for so long!
The only thing holding me back from making one is that I can’t sew.
I mean, I did a little sewing back in high school for home economics, but that was just a tiny lumpy pillow, almost 15 years ago!
So I was determined to come up with a way to create a beautiful, yet super simple, no-sew window seat cushion.
And guess what!? It was so crazy easy to make. I wish I had done it sooner!

Materials:
Foam (I also found one online here that’s white.)
Fabric (I used an extra curtain)
Fabric Velcro (alternatively you could try safety pins)
First, measure your bench and mark out the dimensions on the piece of foam using a measuring tape, permanent marker, and ruler.
Next, cut your foam to size along the line you just marked using an electric bread knife.
Place the cut foam on your open piece of fabric.
Then simply wrap the foam with the fabric (as you would wrap a present with wrapping paper), cutting excess fabric as needed, using the Fabric Velcro to secure the fabric (as you would use tape when wrapping a present).
Note 1: It’s important to attach the Fabric Velcro to the fabric rather than the foam to ensure a secure hold.
Note 2: Be sure to pull the fabric tight when securing it with the Fabric Velcro to ensure that there are no wrinkles or loose fabric.
