Thankful Tree

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes I know it’s not thanksgiving yet, but it’s never too early – or too late – to be thankful!

Thanksgiving Tree

That’s why today I am sharing this DIY Thankful Tree! You can set up this Thankful Tree now & have your family start sharing what they are thankful for or you can wait & share the thankfulness on Thanksgiving Day with all of your friends & family!

What you’ll need:

Twigs & Small Branches

Vase – this one is an Owl!!!

Fall Scrapbook Paper

Scissors or Circle Cutter

Hot Glue Gun with Glue

Twine, String, or Ribbon

Hole Punch – optional

Circle Cutter

First, gather your branches & place them in your fall vase. Next, cut circles from your fall scrapbook paper with scissors or a circle cutter.

Another option instead of circles is to create scrapbook paper leaves – just shrink the ones I used for the Fall Leaves Banner before printing.

Hot glue the string to the circles

Then cut your twine, string, or ribbon, fold it in half, & glue it to the back of the fall circles. Another option is to punch holes in the circles and stick them on the branches without any string or twine. I prefer attaching string because then you can hang the circles on thick or thin branches & you can place them anywhere on the branch.

That’s it! Place the the circles on a table under the Thankful Tree with a pen or pencil & let your friends & family write what they are thankful for & hang it on the tree!
