I couldn’t wait to make these Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls this fall!
Ok, technically they are pumpkin-shaped cinnamon rolls, but my little one doesn’t care if they are pumpkin-spiced flavored or if they are simply pumpkin-shaped, he just wants to eat them!
But I think it’s so fun to turn these store-bought cinnamon rolls into fun little pumpkin cinnamon rolls.
And you can totally use homemade cinnamon rolls, or even pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls to make this fun fall treat.
Oh, and the little maple leaves are edible and such a cute little topping!
They are the perfect addition to a fun fall breakfast, an easy fall party treat, and a Thanksgiving brunch.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
These Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls are made with store-bought cinnamon roll dough and formed into the shape of a pumpkin topped with a cinnamon stick and an edible leaf.
Ingredients
- Cinnamon Rolls (I got ours from Trader Joe’s)
- Baker’s Twine, food grade
- Kitchen Scissors
Toppings
- Icing (you can use the packet that comes with it or mix powdered sugar and French vanilla creamer to the desired texture)
- Cinnamon Stick
- Edible Leaf
Instructions
- First, preheat your oven to the temperature it says on the packaging of your cinnamon rolls, and then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open your cinnamon rolls, place the icing to the side, pull out all of the cinnamon rolls, and place them on the parchment paper.
- Place 3-4 pieces of baker’s twine across each cinnamon roll and gently press each baker’s twine into the cinnamon roll.
- Carefully flip over each cinnamon roll, while keeping the baker’s twine in place.
- Lift the baker’s twine up onto the top of the cinnamon roll, pulling gently to form the shape of a pumpkin, tie each baker’s twine into a knot, and cut off any excess baker’s twine.
- Repeat step 5 on all of the cinnamon rolls.
- Bake the cinnamon rolls according to their packaging instructions.
- Once baked, let cool slightly, then cut off and remove the baker’s twine from each cinnamon roll.
- Top with your icing, cinnamon stick, and edible maple leaf.
- Enjoy!
