This Caramel Apple Dipping Station is a fun and easy way to enjoy caramel apples in an interactive way at your next fall party!

You can add all of your favorite caramel apple toppings to a muffin pan so all of your friends, family, and guests can mix and match their favorite toppings for each apple slice.

I thought about adding cupcake liners to the muffin pan (side note, I just noticed the inconstancy of it being called a MUFFIN pan and CUPCAKE liners), but my cupcake liners were too big, and I realized that most likely by the end of a party (especially if little ones are involved), the whole pan would be a fun memory mess.

You could even add tiny little spoons to the muffin pan so people can sprinkle the toppings on their caramel apple slices instead of dipping them.

Either way, your guests are sure to love this fall dessert bar!

What’s your favorite caramel apple topping?

ps. You can dip the sliced apples in an orange water mixture or a saltwater mixture to help prevent them from browning.

  • Author: Giustina Miller

Ingredients

  • Apples
  • Orange Juice & Water, optional *1
  • Caramel
  • Chocolate
  • Skewers
  • Toppings (examples:)
    • Pretzels
    • Mini M&M’s
    • Sea Salt
    • OREO Cookies
    • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. First, melt the chocolate and caramel (separately) according to their packaging instructions, and place them in individual food warmers.
  2. Next, core and cut the apples into slices.
  3. Dip the apple slices in a large bowl of orange juice mixed with water (I’m sorry, I don’t have a ratio, Roger just poured some orange juice in a bowl of water – alternatively, you can dip them in salt water) to help prevent browning. Pat dry the apple slices and place them next to the food warmers.
  4. Place the toppings in a muffin pan, and set them to the side of the chocolate and caramel.
  5. Add skewers to the display and enjoy!

Notes

  1.  Alternatively, you can dip the apple slices in a saltwater mixture to help prevent them from browning.
